First Ear Infection

Today Isaiah started screaming during playtime and just wouldn't stop. I knew something was wrong and pulled on his ears and he just wailed. First ear infection for either one of my kids, and he's got one in both ears, plus a temp of over 103 at the doctor today. After a nap he seems to be feeling a bit better, although he doesn't move off my lap for more than a few minutes at a time. Times like this make me very grateful for easy access to healthcare and generally very healthy children. We are so incredibly blessed.

And here's a cute Reese-ism: today she has been asking me, "Mommy, do you want to be my friend?". Too sweet. She has been very kind to Isaiah, bringing him juice and goldfish. It makes me so happy to see her being compassionate.

An Update

Sorry it's been a while. I started a post earlier this week and then the kids got up. We are doing well, lots of colds here and there, but nothing serious. Isaiah has developed an obsession with brushing his teeth. He goes into the bathroom and says, "teeth, teeth" and if I won't brush his teeth, he has a tantrum. His other funny thing is that he will pull his pants down and go sit on the potty. One Saturday, the first time he did this, we took off his diaper and he peed in the potty three different times. Now, I'm not up for potty training that young, but it is cute. Reese is loving the puzzle that Aunt MeLisa got her for Christmas. It has about 30 pieces and is the picture we used for our Christmas card this year. Reese puts it together about 6 times a day. She also really loves to paint with water, although those books are hard to find. And one prayer request, Reese is having surgery on March 10 to remover her birthmark. She will have general anesthesia, but will go home in just a couple of hours. A little nerve-wracking for us, but hopefully not too much for her. Hope everyone is doing well!
